ROTTERDAM CONVENTION
- Rotterdam Convention is a global treaty to promote shared responsibility and cooperative efforts among Parties in the international trade of certain hazardous chemicals in order to protect human health and the environment.
- Malaysia become a party to this convention in 4 September 2021 for the implementation of the Prior Informed Consent (PIC) procedure. Department of Environment (DOE) is the Designated National Authority (DNA) under the industrial chemical category for Malaysia.
