The  Malaysia-Singapore Joint Committee meeting on The Environment Expert Group (MSJCE-EG) 2021 on Vehicular Emissions  and  Straits of Johor (SOJ) Related Activities  organized by the  National Environment Agency ( NEA),  Singapore as the host was held on 07 April 2021 and 08 April 2021 respectively. Following the outbreak of COVID-19 and travel restrictions abroad, the two meetings were held online.

MSJCE-EG  is a platform where Malaysia and Singapore can share information, views and experiences in addressing environmental issues of mutual interest. The meeting was co -chaired by Mr. Wan Abdul Latiff Wan Jaffar, Deputy Director General of Operations of the Department of Environment Malaysia and Mr. Cheang Kok Chung, Deputy Director General of  Environmental Protection and Group Director of Clean Environment Group, NEA,  Singapore.

The  MSJCE-EG on Vehicular Emissions  meeting was attended by a Malaysian delegation represented by officials from the Air Division, Department of Environment (DOE) and Johor State DOE.

MSJCE-EG  Meeting  on SOJ Related Activities was attended by representatives of DOE officers from the Water and Marine Division, Enforcement Division, Hazardous Materials Division, Strategic Communications Division, Malaysian Institute of Environment (EiMAS) and Johor State DOE. Officers from other agencies are comprised of the Malaysian Marine Department, Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, Johor Port Authority, Malaysian Chemical Department, Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, Johor State Economic Planning Division, Iskandar Puteri District Police Headquarters and Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA).
