THE MSJCE EG (SOJ RELATED ACTIVITIES), 2025

The MSJCE EG (SOJ Related Activities) Meeting serves as an annual platform between Malaysia and Singapore to discuss environmental issues of mutual concern in the Straits of Johor.

For the year 2025, the meeting was hosted by Singapore through the National Environment Agency (NEA) on 20 May 2025. It was co-chaired by Dr. Norhazni binti Mat Sari, Deputy Director General (Operation), DOE, Malaysia, and Ms. Tan Li Yen, Group Director, Clean Environment Group, NEA, Singapore.

The Malaysian delegation comprised officers from the DOE Headquarters, EiMAS, DOE State of Johor, as well as representatives from related agencies. The Singapore delegation included representatives from NEA, the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE), the Singapore Environment Institute (SEI), the Singapore Civil Defence Force, and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.

This meeting reflects the continued commitment of both countries to work together in preserving the environment in the Straits of Johor in a sustainable and consistent manner.
