World Environment Day

World Environment Day (WED) which is celebrated on June 5 every year is a global platform for environmental related public outreach, widely celebrated in over 100 countries. It has been established by the United Nations General Assembly to mark the opening of the 1972 Stockholm Conference to encourage global awareness and action for the environment. It serves as the people’s day for doing something positive for the environment, inspiring individual actions that will collectively generate a huge positive impact on the planet. Various environmental related activities from various parties were been conducted in conjunction with the World Environment Day.
